Fun Holiday Scholarships for College Students
Can you feel it? Fall is finally in the air! The leaves will soon be turning a myriad of festive colors and our favorite holidays are just around the corner. Time to start thinking about your Halloween costume, planning your Thanksgiving feast, and working on your Christmas wish list. Before you know it, we’ll be ringing in the New Year. To get you into the spirit of things, we’ve put together a list of fun holiday scholarships for college students. Whether you’ve been naughty or nice, you’re sure to find something to help you pay for college.
October Scholarships
Dr. Pepper Tuition Giveaway
Award: up to $100,000 | Deadline: TBA
Although some would argue that football season is not a holiday, we believe it absolutely is. It brings some serious Halloween vibes with all the costumes and face paint. It also gives Thanksgiving a run for its money when it comes to game night party menus. And there’s no better present than having your team win it all.
That’s why the Dr. Pepper Tuition Giveaway makes our holiday scholarship countdown. Five lucky students will walk away with $100k each, another five will receive $25k, and ten more will take home $2,500 each.
Zombie Apocalypse Scholarship
Award: $2,000 | Deadline: Oct. 31, 2023
The Walking Dead is coming to an end this year and we can’t think of a better way to get prepared for the battle ahead than to submit an application to Unigo’s Zombie Apocalypse Scholarship.
Simply devise a plan to survive a zombie takeover at your college. If you slash your way through the competition, you’ll earn $2,000!
PAVE Student Design Competition
Award: $3,000 | Deadline: October 20, 2022
For some, Halloween is all about candy and booze. For others, however, it’s the decorations that make us squeal with delight. There’s a lot that goes into making the perfect spooky costume or decor. And, the details do matter. If you have a head for design, check out the PAVE Student Design Contest. Four college students will win prizes valued at $3,000 each.
November Scholarships
FutureDesigner Scholarship
Award: $2,000 | Deadline: Nov. 1, 2022
Nothing says the holidays like receiving a greeting card, but have you ever thought about designing one? If you’re creative and at least 17 years old, be sure to check out this holiday scholarship from CardsDirect. One winner will get $2,000 to help with college expenses.
Future of Connectivity Scholarship
Award: $2,500 | Deadline: Nov. 25, 2022
Thanks to COVID-19, many of us spent the Thanksgiving holiday separated from family and friends. Technology, however, did allow us to connect virtually. Now, Zipit Wireless wants to know how internet-enabled devices may impact your life and the world around you in the near future, including those special times of the year. If your essay is selected, you’ll receive $2,500 for college.

Don’t you just love December? The holiday spirit is everywhere. And while you’re busy filling out your Christmas wish list for your parents, don’t forget to make a top ten list for yourself, too. Unigo is awarding a $1,500 scholarship to the student who creates the best top ten reasons why they should win.
